Technology was never the goal.
The fascination was never only with the technology, but with how systems work. Software was the means to turn ideas into reality. The question underneath always stayed the same: why does something work the way it does, and how could it be simpler?
Twenty years of building and running a business led to one conviction. The value lies not in the technology, but in understanding complex problems, in the process that distils clear choices from them, and in decisions that last for years.
Simplicity is the result of understanding.
Complexity rarely comes from the technology itself.
A good question often takes you further than a quick answer.
Understand
First the question behind the question. Analysis of system, organisation and context — before anything is chosen.
Direct
Strategy and architecture: clear choices, with the trade-offs made explicit and traceable.
Build
Only then execution, or guiding it. Technology follows the decision — not the other way around.
To the core first, then build.
Every problem breaks down into smaller parts. I look for the core first — the real cause, not the symptom — before anything is designed. It usually holds a simpler, and cheaper, solution than the first that comes to mind.
Most problems fail not on the technology or the strategy, but on the translation between them. That is where my work lies: bringing the strategic question and the technical reality into agreement — because I know both worlds from the inside.
Those worlds range from financial systems to hardware, cloud and AI. That breadth surfaces connections that stay invisible within a single discipline. And what finally stands is right down to the details no one sees — because that is where reliability lives.
